THE LARRY DAVID STORY: A PARALLEL UNIVERSE BIOGRAPHY

Developmental Years 1947-1952

Larry David, aka Lawrence Eugene David, was born on July 2nd, 1947 in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. young_larry_david_13yearsold_parents_morty_helen When his parents, Morty and Helen, first laid eyes on him they never would have guessed in a million years that they were looking at one of the greatest comedy writers of all time.

The first thing keen eyed Morty noticed was Larry's receding hairline. He said - is that even possible!?

Morty and Helen would eventually become the inspiration for Jerry's parents in the classic TV sitcom Seinfeld.

Helen was supposedly like a waitress in a diner, never laughing or even cracking a smile. And Morty was happy go lucky, but didn't appreciate the social satire which Larry would eventually become famous for. Therefore, in some ways Larry's acerbic wit can be attributed to his upbringing, to his somewhat gruff parents which taught Larry to laugh things off and keep a light attitude.

One can see him becoming accustomed to the smart sarcasm and satirical rants his legend now embodies.
